3 booked for snatching Rs 40,000  

Moga: The Moga police have registered a case of snatching of Rs 40,000 from an employee of a finance company near Jhandeana (West) village in the district. Police officials said the employee, identified as Bhupinder Kumar, had lodged on Thursday lodged a complaint that when he was a returning on his motorcycle after collecting money, three unidentified motorcycle-borne youths stopped him, snatched his money bag and ran away from the spot. BBMB excels in student outreach

Chandigarh: The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has been awarded the first prize at the national level for “Best State-Level Nodal Officer Category” for achieving the highest percentage of student participation in a painting competition on energy conservation for 2017. Sedatives, liquor seized, 3 arrested

Abohar: The police here on Friday seized 700 sedative pills by intercepting Harpinder Singh of Seed Farm village. He has been arrested under the NDPS Act. Another police team seized 360 bottles of Chandigarh-made liquor from Prem Nagar colony here. Sahil Bathla was arrested, but Angrej Singh, wanted in similar cases, and Gulshan of Daddu Majri ran away. The police seized 15 bottles of Haryana-made liquor from Rajinder Singh of Rajanwali village. OC

Azamwala resident booked for rape

Abohar: The police have booked Mithu Singh of Azamwala village as a married woman (28) has alleged that he raped her when she was harvesting green fodder in a field. The accused ran away after the incident. OC
