AAP leader and Supreme Court lawyer H S Phoolka on Monday welcomed the conviction of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

He thanked everyone for their support and help in fighting the case.

Phoolka had tweeted: “Sajjan Kumar case- Monday is a big day of my life- result of 34yrs struggle. I had resigned from post of LOP to appear in this case. In view of strong evidence,will surely succeed.  #1984SikhGenocide”.

The Delhi High Court sentenced Sajjan Kumar for conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced him to imprisonment for life.
