The police and the SGPC are gearing up for the weeklong visit of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to India.

Trudeau is scheduled to visit the Golden Temple on February 21. SGPC chief secretary Dr Roop Singh said no stage would be set up to felicitate the Canadian delegation. He said the visitors would be felicitated at the information office. SGPC chief Gobind Singh Longowal would welcome the delegation.

The committee had arranged special kirpans (swords), sets of religious books and other material to be handed over to the Canadian Premiere and other members accompanying him. — TNS
