Amritsar BRTS by Aug 31: Sidhu

The Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS) project for Amritsar will be completed by August 31, said Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu after attending a review meeting here on Thursday.

Referring to deliberations with the local MP, MLAs and the Mayor, Sidhu said the project would be rolled out for the general public by September 31.

Sidhu said a trial run was scheduled to be conducted to assess the project, particularly at Bhandari Bridge, bus shelters and interval spots of the buses. He said the concerns raised by all participating leaders had been taken and each would be followed up with the quarters concerned.
