Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is evidently more focused on levelling false allegations against me rather than advancing people’s interests in Punjab and taking the Bargari investigation to its logical conclusion, said Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa.

In a press release, he has claimed that not only he but every man on the street alleges that Captain Amarinder Singh is making every attempt to save the Badals during this non-serious investigation by the Punjab Police. Responding to the allegations of not reading the detailed interview of the CM and merely going on the headline, “I would like to state that it is the CM who needs to read what was published.”

He said Captain Amarinder Singh is alleged to be throwing lifelines to the Badals. It was the involvement of the Badals in the same by trying to make sure that the actual culprits (some Dera Sacha Sauda followers) were never caught and instead of them some innocent persons were alleged to have been the culprits. This also reflected the abuse of police to save the guilty and punish the innocent for which the Badals are being labelled as betrayers of the Sikh community.

From the chronology of events, it was amply clear that Captain Amarinder Singh has been hoodwinking the people of Punjab and misleading them while making every effort to make sure that the sacrilege cases are not investigated in a fair and impartial manner.
