The day The Tribune highlighted the damage done to Nai Sadak in Abohar due to accumulation of sewage water, the administration checked water accumulation and started repairing the road on Wednesday.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Poonam Singh directed the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board divisional office here to check overflowing of dirty water immediately. She also directed the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council to repair the potholes within 24 hours and submit a compliance report by Thursday.

The board tackled the sewage chamber and facilitated the engineering wing of the council to use pink brick powder and other material to plug the potholes on the road. — OC
