A 13-year-old was allegedly raped, while a five-year-old was reportedly molested in the city.

A migrant woman of Bhagwan Nagar alleged that her 13-year-old daughter was allegedly raped by two persons. They were identified as Rahul Kumar, alias Rohit, and Surinder Bhagat of Prabhat Nagar. She alleged that the incident took place on November 9 when her daughter was alone at home. Accused Rahul took her to the rented house of Bhagat, where they committed the crime. Later, the accused threatened her daughter to not inform the police, she alleged.

Investigating officer ASI Pooran Singh said the accused were yet to be arrested.

In another case, a five-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a neighbour. The accused has been identified as Harpal Singh of Gurdev Nagar. He is yet to be arrested in the case.

The complainant, a resident of Gurdev Nagar, said on November 18, her elder daughter told him that the accused had been touching her younger sister’s private parts.

Investigation Officer ASI Balwinder Lal said the accused was at large.

Woman sexually abused by drunk youths 

Moga: A married woman was allegedly molested by a few car-borne youths, who were allegedly in an inebriated state, when she along with her husband and son was on her way to home in the old town area in the district. The woman’s husband, who tried to protect her, was attacked by the youths with iron rods. According to the complaint, the accused tried to pull the woman inside their car, but when Gaurav got injured in the attack, they fled away. Two of the accused have been identified as Shiva, resident of Green Field Colony, and Mehtab Singh, a resident of the old town area. TNS
