100 boxes of liquor seized, one arrested

SANGRUR: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Bahadur Singh Wala confiscated 100 boxes of smuggled liquor last night.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Bahadur Singh Wala confiscated 100 boxes of smuggled liquor last night. One person has been arrested.

On a tip-off, a CIA police party — led by ASI Randhir Ram – set up a check point on Samana road on the outskirts of Bhawanigarh and seized the liquor that was being smuggled in a tractor trolley from Samana to Bhawanigarh.

“We have arrested Balwinder Singh. His accomplice Vicky managed to escape and we are conducting raids to nab him,” said ASI Randhir Ram.
