Rajouri, December 6

Resentment has been brewing up among residents of Rajouri & Poonch districts against continuing suspension of the Internet services on mobile phones alleging that despite peaceful situation post abrogation of Article 370, the authorities have linked the area with the Kashmir situation.

“No untoward incident or militancy-related incident has taken place in Rajouri district after or before the abrogation of Article 370. People have cooperated with the government/district administration. But still are deprived of the Internet services,” said Shahbaz Khan.

The worst sufferers are unemployed youth, students and journalist, who are finding it hard to perform their professional engagements in the absence of Internet/broadband facilities. — OC
