4 accused of killing student nabbed

The police have arrested four of the six accused named in the FIR in the case of the murder of a 17-year-old student in Sector 3 here on Friday.

Rajesh Kumar, DCP (Crime), said that those arrested include main culprit Aniket, a resident of Bhikam Colony in Ballabhgarh. He was nabbed along with Harsh Kumar from Sohna town of Gurugram this noon on a tip-off. The two other accused, identified as  Deepak and Gaurav, were arrested from  Seekri village and Bhikam Colony, respectively, on the basis of information collected by the crime branch team led by Inspector Chhatrapal. 

All the four arrested persons were among the six named in the complaint lodged by Sanjay Kumar, father of victim Vinay Kumar who was stabbed to death by some youths near a school in Sector 3. Vinay, who was pursuing Class XI from open school, had gone to Sector 3 to meet someone when he was attacked with knives and sharp-edged objects around 3.20 pm. He died on the spot.

Vinay, son of a local photo journalist,  had a dispute with some of the accused that had been resolved last year. But he was stabbed on Friday due to a simmering enmity between the two sides. The remaining accused, identified as Sundar and Buchha, are likely to the arrested soon, said Sube Singh, a spokesperson for the police. — TNS
