Gurugram, July 19

A Kenyan national was allegedly gangraped by two persons, including an autorickshaw driver, last night. The victim had stepped out of Sahara Mall pub and engaged the auto to go to the Metro station. But the driver — along with another person already seated inside — took her to Sheetla colony and allegedly raped her.

The victim alleged that she was forcibly sedated and gangraped and then dumped on the road. Seeing her pitiable condition, passers-by informed the police and the Sector-5 police rescued her. Following her medical examination which confirmed rape and the recording of her statement, the police nabbed one of the accused identified as Saddam, the auto driver.

“I came out of the club at midnight and saw this autorickshaw standing outside Sahara Mall. I asked him to drop me at Dronacharya Metro station and he agreed. There was another man inside who he said he was sharing the ride. “Seeing no other ride, I sat inside. Soon, they overpowered me and threatened to kill me if I raised my voice. They took me to Sheetla colony where they forced me to have liquor. Then, they raped me the entire night and left me on the road,” the victim told the police.

According to the police, Saddam is being interrogated and the second accused would be nabbed soon.
