A woman employee of a local garment factory was cornered and molested by four drunk men when she stepped out for lunch yesterday. The victim was allegedly pulled inside a stationary autorickshaw and liquor was forced down her throat.
She somehow managed to flee from the miscreants’ clutches and rushed into the factory premises. The accused followed her and attacked her colleagues who tried to save her.
An FIR has been registered at Sector 37 police station. The police have arrested five accused, including the auto driver.
According to the police, the incident happened at lunchtime yesterday in Khandsa industrial area, Sector 37, next to Tapio Creations Private Limited where the victim works as a tailor. She stepped out of the company for lunch and was headed towards her accommodation when the accused attacked her.
After receiving a complaint, an FIR was registered. After identifying the accused, the police nabbed the auto driver identified as Pankaj. Later, four other accused identified as Sachin, Karan, Himanshu and Naveen were arrested. All are residents of Khandsa village.
