Woman files rape case against U’khand leader Harak Rawat

NEW DELHI: A rape case has been registered against Uttarakhand leader Harak Singh Rawat. A woman filed the case against Rawat at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station last night. A similar complaint was registered against Rawat two years ago.

A rape case has been registered against Uttarakhand leader Harak Singh Rawat. A woman filed the case against Rawat at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station last night.

The police are currently investigating the matter.

A similar complaint was registered against Rawat two years ago.

Earlier in February 2014, an FIR was registered against Rawat for allegedly molesting a 30-year-old woman in New Delhi.

The woman, who was a resident of Meerut, had submitted a written complaint at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station alleging that Rawat had molested her at a house in South Delhi’s Green Park area in September 2013.

Although the woman could not explain the delay in reporting the case, police had registered an FIR in that regard. — ANI
