Was trained by LeT in PoK: Nabbed ultra

New Delhi, July 28

Saifulla Bahadur Ali, 21, the terrorist nabbed during a gunfight in Kupwara on July 25, has confessed before an NIA  team here that he hailed from Lahore and had sneaked through Leepa Valley in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir two months ago.

His confession has once again nailed Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism in India and a fresh dossier is being prepared based on his revelations. Ali said he was operating under the pseudonym Saifullah. Airlifted to Delhi today for interrogation, he said he was trained by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists.

Sources said Ali belonged to Jahama village near Raiwind area of Lahore.

Ali infiltrated into India with two others — Saad and Darda — to take advantage of the unrest in Kashmir. While Saad was an ameer of the LeT and had undergone Daur-e-Khas training, Ali was trained at Chela Bandi in Muzaffarabad. According to Ali, Saad and Darda died in an encounter in mid-July.
