HC on Dabholkar case

With no breakthrough yet in the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar two years ago, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday expressed concern over the delay in the probe, noting close monitoring of investigation was required. A Division Bench directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a status report in a week on the probe done by it so far. — PTI

CBI collects journos’ reports

The CBI has collected medical reports of Aaj Tak journalist Akshay Singh, who was trailing the story of Vyapam beneficiary Namrata Damor, from his family to ascertain whether he had any medical history which might have led to his death. Sources said the reports have been collected and sent to a medical board. PTI

Net user-base crosses 35 cr

India has added 52 million Internet users in first six months of the year, taking the total user base to 352 million as on June 30, 2015, industry body IAMAI on Wednesday said. At least 213 million (over 60 per cent) users accessed the worldwide web through mobile devices. The number of Internet users has grown over 26 per cent from 278 million in October 2014. — PTI
