Security at Patna gurdwara increased after bomb explosion threat

PATNA: Security at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara here was increased after there was a threat of a bomb blast. Ashok Pandey, a police officer at Chauk police station in Patna, had received an SMS on Tuesday that there would be a blast at the gurdwara.

Security at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara here was increased after there was a threat of a bomb blast.

Ashok Pandey, a police officer at Chauk police station in Patna, had received an SMS on Tuesday that there would be a blast at the gurdwara.                       

Police have started an investigation and devotees were allowed to enter the gurdwara only after intensive security check.                                               

SSP Manu Maharaj said, “There is no need to panic as the message sender has been identified and will be soon arrested. Security at the gurdwara was increased. The areas around the gurdwara are being monitored by CCTV cameras. A search operation is on to nab the accused.                       

Such threats by miscreants were nothing new, a police officer said.
