Lucknow, January 17

In a scary replay of Gurugram’s Ryan School murder, a seven-year-old Class I student of Brightland School, Aliganj, was stabbed and locked up in a school bathroom allegedly by a senior. The condition of Hrithik (7) was serious but stable at the trauma centre of King George Medical University Hospital. According to doctors, he has multiple stab wounds in the chest and stomach.

Principal Rina Manas said the incident came to light after the morning assembly on January 16 when a teacher heard someone banging on the bathroom door on the second floor.

The door was forced open and Hrithik was found lying in a pool of blood with a piece of cloth stuffed into his mouth and his hands and feet tied. When the boy regained consciousness at the trauma centre, he said a “didi” with cropped hair had taken him to the bathroom where he was first thrashed and then stabbed.
