Release arrested journalists, don’t act foolishly: Rahul to Yogi

NEW DELHI: Two days after journalists were arrested from Noida for alleged defamatory posts against Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to demand their release.

Two days after journalists were arrested from Noida for alleged defamatory posts against Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to demand their release.

Gandhi reasoned his case saying Yogi should stop acting “foolishly”.

Gandhi said that if every journalist who was peddling fake news about Gandhi was to be put in jail, newspapers would face staff crunch.

“If every journalist who files a false report or peddles fake, vicious RSS/BJP sponsored propaganda about me is put in jail, most newspapers/ news channels would face a severe staff shortage. The UP CM is behaving foolishly & needs to release the arrested journalists,” Gandhi tweeted Tuesday.
