Rajnath meets outgoing RAW, IB chiefs

NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today felicitated three of the senior-most retiring IPS officers, including the outgoing Chiefs of two spy agencies — Alok Joshi of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Syed Asif Ibrahim of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today felicitated three of the senior-most retiring IPS officers, including the outgoing Chiefs of two spy agencies — Alok Joshi of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Syed Asif Ibrahim of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
Both had been appointed by the UPA and the ruling NDA allowed them to complete their respective fixed two-year tenures.
Alok Joshi, a Haryana-cadre IPS officer, has been succeeded by Rajinder Khanna, while outgoing IB chief Syed Asif Ibrahim has been succeeded by Dineshwar Sharma.
The Home Minister also felicitated the outgoing Director-General of the ITBP, Subhash Goswami. Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami and senior officers of the MHA were present.
