The Delhi Police on Thursday lodged an FIR against former DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK on the direction of district court on alleged charges of financial irregularities in a gurdwara.

In December, Metropolitan Magistrate Vijeta Singh Rawat had ordered the Delhi Police to lodge the FIR against the former DSGMC president, former joint secretary Amarjit Singh Pappu and general manager Harjit Singh Subedar.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had dissolved its Delhi unit barely an hour before the order against Manjit Singh GK, the former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president who had resigned earlier in December, for alleged irregularities on a petition filed by Independent member Gurmeet Singh Shanty.

Manjit Singh GK was president of SAD’s Delhi unit.
