Ludhiana:  A day after an FIR was filed against Lok Insaf Party MLA Simarjit Singh Bains for alleged forced entry into the Passport Sewa Kendra here, the Regional Passport Office is set to issue him a notice for “concealing” information on  criminal cases filed against him while applying for renewal of passport. Bains boarded a flight for Australia on Wednesday to attend a Baisakhi Mela there. He and his supporters had on Tuesday barged into the Passport Office to “expose the unauthorised agents fleecing the applicants.” Police Commissioner Sukhchain Gill said an FIR had been registered under Sections 451, 353, 186 and 506, IPC. Sibash Kabiraj, RPO, said the MLA had procured an order from a local court to renew his Short Validity Passport and had misled the court and the Passport Office. tns
