Dadlani had invited public ire after he had tweeted: “That dude has the same education, as he has clothes on. None. I've no problem with nudity. I have a problem with religion in governance.”

Following the hullabaloo, Dadlani had deleted the said tweets and apoligised several times.

The Chandigarh Police also received a complaint against Dadlani and sent it for legal opinion.

"We will act as per legal advice," said UT IGP Tajender Singh Luthra.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain visited the Jain monk in Chandigarh to seek pardon on behalf of AAP. A Jain community delegation also met Punjab Governor-cum-UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore and pressed for immediate police action against Dadlani.
