Patekar gets clean chit, Tanushree to move Bombay HC

Mumbai, June 13

Actor Nana Patekar, who was accused of molesting actress Tanushree Dutta on the sets of “Horn Ok Pleassss” in 2008, was today given a clean chit by the Mumbai police.

Officials of the Oshiwara police station in suburban Mumbai, where the case against Patekar was filed following the “MeToo” allegations made by Dutta last year, today filed the ‘B Summary’ report before the Andheri Magistrate’s Court. Such a report is filed when investigations show lack of evidence to file a chargesheet.                              

However, Dutta accused the cops of corruption, likening the case to that of actor Alok Nath. “We will file a writ petition in the Bombay High Court,” her lawyer said. — TNS
