Tomar, Gowda get additional charge of portfolios held by Ananth Kumar

NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday assigned D V Sadanand Gowda charge of Chemicals and Fertilisers portfolio while his colleague Narendra Singh Tomar was given additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs.

President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday assigned D V Sadanand Gowda charge of Chemicals and Fertilisers portfolio while his colleague Narendra Singh Tomar was given additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs.

These portfolios were held by Ananth Kumar who passed away on Monday. 

A Rashtrapati Bhawan communique said the additional charge was made as advised by the Prime Minister.

Gowda, a former Chief Minister of Karnataka, is at present the Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation while Tomar is the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
