Nephew of late BJP leader Gopinath Munde has sought a probe by either the Supreme Court or the Research and Analysis Wing into his death in a road accident in 2014.

Hours after a US-based cyber-expert claimed that the late BJP leader was murdered because of his knowledge about tampering of the Electronic Voting Machines, his nephew Dhananjay Munde sought a fresh investigation into the incident.

“A cyber expert has made a sensational claim that former Union Minister Late Gopinathrao Munde saheb was murdered. This claim needs immediate attention and investigation from RAW/Supreme Court, as it is directly linked to the death of mass leader,” Dhananjay said in a message on Twitter.

The younger Munde, who is with the Nationalist Congress Party, added that his uncle's supporters were always suspicious about the death of the late BJP leader.

"Everybody who followed Munde saheb's leadership and loved him had raised questions about his death," Dhananjay further tweeted.

At a press conference in London on Monday, “cyber expert” Syed Shuja had alleged that the last general elections and subsequent electoral contests had been rigged. Shuja further claimed that National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer Tanzil Ahmed probing Munde’s death was himself killed. Ahmed, Shuja alleged, was planning to file a first investigation report stating that the BJP leader had been murdered.

Munde died in a road accident in New Delhi after a car rammed into the vehicle he was in. Medical reports had then said that Munde had suffered a cardiac arrest after his liver was ruptured because of the impact of the collision. The Central Bureau of Investigation, which probed the incident, had ruled out any conspiracy behind Munde's death.
