The expedition, christened ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama’, was flagged off from INS-Mandovi boat pool in Goa on September 10, 2017 

The team trained under Captain Dilip Donde, the first Indian to solo-circumnavigate the globe from August 19, 2009, to May 19, 2010, onboard Indian-built INSV-Mhadei

The all-women team completed the expedition in six legs, with stopovers at Fremantle (Australia), Lyttleton (New Zealand), Port Stanley (Falkland Islands), Cape Town (South Africa) and Mauritius

Visited 5 nations and crossed Equator twice; sailed across 4 continents, 3 oceans, and passed south of 3 Great Capes — Leeuwin, Horn and Good Hope
