Narrow escape for passengers as 9 coaches of train derail near Bikaner

JAIPUR: Nine coaches of the Bathinda-Jodhpur passenger train derailed near Bikaner in the wee hours of Saturday. Two passengers received minor injuries and have been given the first aid. The train derailed between Rajiyasar and Arjansar around 2.10 am.

Nine coaches of the Bathinda-Jodhpur passenger train derailed near Bikaner in the wee hours of Saturday.                                           

Two passengers received minor injuries and have been given the first aid.

The train derailed between Rajiyasar and Arjansar around 2.10 am. 

No casualty was reported and all passengers are safe. Two passengers who suffered minor injuries were given first aid by before being sent to local hospital, NWR CPRO Tarun Jain said here.

Senior railway officers have rushed to the site which falls under Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan.

The site is being cleared of passengers and the restoration work is on.

The railways cancelled two trains, partially cancelled three others and rescheduled four passengers trains.
