Low fuel issue: AI grounds operations director

Mumbai: Air India has temporarily taken away its director of operations Amitabh Singh from flying duties for his failure to report to the DGCA a mid-air fuel issue in Sydney last week, a source said. Singh, who was captaining a New Delhi-Sydney flight on September 7, failed to file the mandatory report on the low fuel situation to the DGCA, though he informed the airline.

Youth beheads father for objecting to PUBG

Woman with 11 kids pregnant for 20th time

Mumbai: A woman hailing from the nomadic Gopal community in Maharashtra, Lankabai Kharat, has become pregnant for the 20th time, doctors said. The 38-year-old woman from Beed district, who has had 16 successful deliveries and three abortions so far, is now seven months’ pregnant, doctors said. Each time, she delivered a single child and five of them died, while 11 have survived. PTI
