New Delhi: The University Grants Commission has directed universities to clearly mention Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode on degrees, certificates and mark-sheets issued to students of such courses. Noting that certain institutions/universities have failed to do so, the UGC said a decision was taken during a September meeting that delivery mode of programme was to be clearly mentioned on all documents issued to students to remove ambiguities between conventional (regular) mode degree(s) and ODL mode. tns
