A 29-year-old Chinese woman who went missing in a crowded Bapu Bazar Market on Saturday was found a day later in another market in Jaipur's walled city, police said on Sunday.

According to DCP-North Sumit Gupta, the tourist, identified only as LeoSi, was visiting the market with a group of friends on Saturday afternoon. She asked her friends to head back to the guest house without her because she wanted to shop some more, he told The Tribune.

Due to bad network, the tourist could not find her way back to the guest house and couldn’t contact her friends. Instead, she checked herself into another hotel.

Meanwhile, LeoSi’s friends reported their friend missing to the owner of the guest house, who then approached police to have an FIR filed.

Jaipur Police and intelligence department swung into action, the officer said, and by 9:30 am, the tourist was found at a mobile repair shop in Nehru Bazaar.

“She is safe and felt embarrassed when the cops found her. She was taken to her original guest house,” he claimed.
