BSP MLA Kushwaha sentenced to life for murder in Rajasthan

A local court in Dholpur on Thursday sentenced sitting BSP MLA from Dholpur BL Kushwaha to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 in a murder case of 2012. 

Kushwaha, who is in judicial custody, was sentenced with another person Satyendra Singh. 

Additional District Judge Salim Badar passed the judgement convicting Kushwaha and Satyendra Singh of Uttar Pradesh under Section 302 for murder and 120 (B) for criminal conspiracy leading to the murder of one Naresh Kushwaha in 2012.

Three other accused in the murder conspiracy are still absconding. 

B L Kushwaha was arrested by the state CID-Crime Branch in connection with the murder case after he surrendered before the Rajasthan Police on October 13, 2014.

Since then he is in judicial custody. He was not permitted to vote in the recently held Rajya Sabha elections by the Rajasthan High Court. 

The victim Naresh was a resident of Dholpur.
