Mumbai, May 28
A day after a BJP corporator from the Brihanmumbai MC proposed setting up of NaMo tea stalls across the city, the BJP said it was not party’s official concept.
Prakash Gangadhare, a BJP corporator, had yesterday proposed that the civic body should give out licences for NaMo tea stalls in every ward. He said such ventures would provide jobs to the youth.
“This is not BJP’s official concept. It was a personal proposal,” said Ashish Shelar, Mumbai BJP president.
Within a few hours, the plan was mocked on social media as an image-building exercise for Prime Minister Modi and the BJP. — TNS
