PATNA: A not-for-profit organisation in Patna is trying to help poor students from Bihar and Jharkhand crack the IIT-JEE examinations.

A not-for-profit organisation in Patna is trying to help poor students from Bihar and Jharkhand crack the IIT-JEE examinations.

Awasar trust will select 50 students through entrance tests and provide residential coaching for two years. Books, lodging and free food are included.

Patna Science College Principal KC Sinha will head the institute.

Awasar trust will hold its entrance tests on June 23 and 30.

“Poor students don’t get enough opportunities to be guided by experts for IIT and their dreams remain unfulfilled. So I decided to provide assistances to poor IIT aspirants,” BJP Member of Parliament RK Sinha— the man behind Awasar Trust.

Sinha said about Rs 2 lakh will be spent on each student. Dalit students will be given priority.
