On Twitter, PM Narendra Modi said: “Advani ji’s contribution towards India’s development is monumental. His ministerial tenures are applauded for futuristic decision making and people-friendly policies.”

BJP chief Amit Shah said: “In taking our ideology to the masses and in setting India on the path to progress, Advani ji’s contribution is unparalleled.”

Rajnath Singh described him as a stalwart of politics. Rahul Gandhi also greeted Advani
