New Delhi, April 18

AAP rebels today lashed out at the party for the show-cause notices served on them, calling them a “joke”.

It is an irony that the conduct of Swaraj Samvad, held to seek public views for floating a new outfit, is an anti-party activity while AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is also (purportedly) talking about forming a new party with 67 MLAs, attracts no action, they alleged.

They also objected to the presence of two party leaders, Ashish Khetan and Pankaj Gupta, in the committee hearing their case.

Yogendra Yadav on social media said, “Received the notice last night, funny thing is those who’ve been accusing us of anti-party activities will now sit and judge whether we have committed such activity or not? What a joke, what a travesty of justice.”

Prof Anand Kumar, national convener of the Swaraj Abhiyan, said, “The disciplinary panel is working in an indiscipline manner. The complainants, who are sycophants, are becoming judges. This is comical...”

The disciplinary panel of the party yesterday issued show-cause notices to rebel leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav for alleged anti-party activities.
