After Gurgaon, the Aam Aadmi Party dissident faction is mooting the idea of holding a Swaraj Samvad in the national capital in the hope of consolidating the support base of volunteers for its nationwide Swaraj Abhiyan.

The four senior leaders — Prof Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhuhsan, Prof Anand Kumar and Prof Ajit Jha — who were served show-cause notices by the party’s disciplinary committee late on Friday also sought time to respond till tomorrow as they remained busy with volunteers meetings in the national Capital till late night.

Serving separate notices to Yadav, Bhuhsan, Kumar and Jha, the party had given them time till Sunday to reply to the “anti-party” charges levelled against them. “The charges are baseless and the whole procedure is flawed so the tone is also not going to be reverent,” said Jha after a volunteers’ meeting.

“We had a Delhi volunteers meeting where the focus remained at every level. The Swaraj Abhiyan will involve volunteers contact building and a Swaraj Samvad is being planned for Delhi,” said Jha.
