8 on school picnic die in Udaipur mishap

JAIPUR:Eight persons, including three children, on a school picnic were killed and three others injured when a car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary dumper at Khairad village, 10 km from Salumber in Udaipur district, on Saturday.

Eight persons, including three children, on a school picnic were killed and three others injured when a car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary dumper at Khairad village, 10 km from Salumber in Udaipur district, on Saturday.

All eleven belonged to Moral Academy School, Salumber, and were on way to Jaisamand for a weekend picnic when they met with an accident around 11 am at the village. 

The injured were rushed to a nearby government hospital. Their condition is stated to be stable, SP Udaipur Kunwar Rashtradeep said. The bodies were handed over to the relatives of the victims after the postmortem. — OC
