Six people were killed and 12 others injured when an SUV collided with a bus in East Midnapore district, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
The SUV collided with the bus on NH 116-B near Marisha on Wednesday killing six people, including the driver, Superintendent of Police V Solomon Nesakumar said.
The 12 injured were admitted to hospital, the SP said.
The SUV was on its way to Digha in East Midnapore district from Kandi in Murshidabad district, police said.
Five of the deceased are Trinamool Congress workers of Murshidabad district, they added. PTI
