New law to ban alcohol in Mizoram soon 

Aizawl: Maintaining its pre-poll pledges to enforce total prohibition on sale of alcohol in the state, a new Bill would be tabled in the next Mizoram Assembly session. “We will make a law soon to ban sale of alcohol in Mizoram. A Bill will be moved in the next Assembly session, beginning second week of March,” Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Minister K Beichhua said.
