It is ironical that both the releases, Ardaas and Love Punjab, take us back to our roots, one through Gurbaani and other literally going and looking for it! Love Punjab is a film that will take you on a journey to discover your roots and be proud of them.

The film has been directed by Rajiv Dhingra, who played the balancing act of Canada and Punjab really well. The film has an interesting storyline, which becomes racy after the interval. Love Punjab has dialogues you would laugh out and cry aloud both in equal measure, thanks to Amberdeep Singh. Actor-singer Amrinder Gill, after the success of his previous film, Angrej, has done well again. Sargun Mehta is out to create a place in Punjabi cinema and has ‘almost’done that. After his hard-hitting role in the film Channo, Binnu Dhillon’s comedy in Love Punjab is just- about- okay.

Yograj Singh and Rana Ranbir bring in a deja vu feeling of Goreyan Nu Daffo Karo. The film maintains a rhythm, only to take a dip once in Punjab. It’s a film about Punjab, a utopian Punjab that we would want to see one day. So, you would definitely ‘Love’ this ‘Punjab’ with its different story, lovely acting and nice songs.
