With the intent to check crime related with young girls and womenfolk, the Circle Ahmedgarh police launched “Shakti” mobile app.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ahmedgarh Palwinder Singh Cheema updated students and female staff of educational institutes about the significance and functioning of the app and coordinated rescue operation in case of an emergency. Maiden workshop on the subject was organised at MGMN Senior Secondary School, where teachers and girl students were given tips about functioning of the system through android and I-phones. — OC
