Veteran journalist, writer to be feted

LUDHIANA: Eminent veteran journalist and writer Jatinder Pannu will be awarded with Harbhajan Halwarvi Award on February 17.

Eminent veteran journalist and writer Jatinder Pannu will be awarded with Harbhajan Halwarvi Award on February 17. The award would be given to him by the Comrade Ratan Singh Halwara Memorial Trust during a function to be held at Sri Guru Ram Das College for Education, Halwara here.

Prof Gurbhajan Gill, President, Comrade Ratan Singh Halwara Memorial Trust, said born in Sakhira village of Tarn Taran district on October 19, 1954, Jatinder Pannu has been working for noted Punjabi newspapers on various positions, for the past more than 35 years, besides he is also a known face on various print and electronic media platforms globally. Besides this, he is life member of Punjabi Sahit Akademi and Kendra Punjabi Lekhak Sabha.

Members of the award selection committee said Jatinder Pannu is a regular face on Doordarshan and Prime Asia Channel of Canada.
