The police registered three cases of robbery yesterday after armed persons snatched cash and valuables from three residents, including a vendor.

A vendor, Munna Kumar (21), a native of Bihar and at present residing on Bahadar K Road, was robbed of Rs 45,000 by two armed persons who came on a bike. Munna said he was on the way to a bank to deposit cash. When he reached near the vegetable market, two bike-borne persons asked him for some address. Before he could tell him the address, one of them threatened him with a knife and snatched his bag containing cash. A case has been registered at the Jodhewal police station.

In another case registered at Division No. 6 police station, the complainant, Shambu Dutt, a resident of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, said he worked in a company based at Focal Point. On May 22, he was on the way to his company office when four bike-borne persons cornered him. They threatened him and took away his bag containing cheque books, Aadhaar card and cash collected on behalf of the company.

In yet another case, Rajesh Kumar of GTB Nagar told the police that on May 20, he was heading towards Mundian Kalan. As he was talking to someone on the phone, two bike-borne youngsters came from behind and snatched his mobile phone. He could not note down the registration number of the motorcycle. The investigation officer, ASI Rajpal, said efforts were on to identify the snatchers.
