SAMRALA: Two migrant labourers died while one got injured after the motorcycle in which they were travelling was hit by some unidentified vehicle, near Garhi village, on Neelon-Garhi road, last night.

Two migrant labourers died while one got injured after the motorcycle in which they were travelling was hit by some unidentified vehicle, near Garhi village, on Neelon-Garhi road, last night.

The deceased have been identified as Ajay Sahney (27) and Madan Sahney, while the injured has been identified as Shakti Kumar, all natives of Bihar. They were returning home last night, when some unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle. The accident was so fierce that two laborers died on the spot, while the third received serious injuries. The injured was rushed to Samrala Civil Hospital by the Samrala police, from where he was referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh in a serious condition, as per Samrala SHO Bhupinder Singh.

The SHO said the police have registered a case under Section 304-A against the driver of the unidentified vehicle and they were looking for the accused. The SHO said the bodies have been kept at the Samrala Civil Hospital mortuary and the postmortem would be conducted tomorrow after their family members arrive.
