Two held with 115 gm of smack

LUDHIANA: The police claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered 115 gm smack from their possession in two different cases. The arrested have been identified as Mithan and Kishan, both residents of Khanna.

The police claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered 115 gm smack from their possession in two different cases. The arrested have been identified as Mithan and Kishan, both residents of Khanna. 

Khanna DSP Jagwinder Singh Cheema said in the first incident, a police party led by Khanna SHO Rajnish Kumar was on patrolling in the area. During patrolling, the police party spotted a youth going on foot near T Point, Karnail Singh Road. When the police party signaled the youth, he tried to flee, but he was overpowered by the police party. During search, the police party recovered 45 grams of smack from Mithan.

In the second incident, another police party led by ASI Karamjit Singh was patrolling in the area. During checking near Guru Amar Dass Market towards Peer Khana Road spotted a clean shaven youth, identified as Kishan, near Gurdwara Kalangidhar Sahib who tried to flee but was overpowered by the police party. During search, the police party recovered 70 gm smack from his possession. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against them.
