Two drug peddlers held with 385-gm heroin

LUDHIANA: The police have arrested two peddlers and recovered 385-gram heroin from them in the past 24 hours.

The police have arrested two peddlers and recovered 385-gram heroin from them in the past 24 hours. They have been identified as Sandeep Kumar, alias Billa, a resident of New Subhash Nagar in the Basti Jodhewal area; and Rinkle of New Shakti Nagar area of Ludhiana. 

Sandeep was arrested by a team of the Focal Point police station with 255 gm of heroin near the Jamalpur Chowk T-point on Tuesday morning following a tip-off. 

Sahnewal ACP Harjinder Singh Gill said during preliminary questioning, the accused confessed that he had been involved in drug peddling for a long time. 

In the second case, a team from the Tibba police station arrested a drug peddler, Rinkal, and seized 130 gram of heroin from him. 

The investigating officer, ASI Surinderpal Singh, said Rinkal was arrested from 33-Foot Road following a-tip off on Monday evening.
