Two labourers were killed after a wall of a rice sheller collapsed at Boparai village yesterday. The labourers were working near the wall when it came crashing on them. The deceased have been identified as Ranjit Kaur and Karnail Singh of Jalaldiwal village, near Raikot.

Another woman labourer, who fell unconsciousness after the incident, was rushed to Raikot Hospital.

The Raikot Sadar SHO, Inspector GS Sikand, said stubble was being shifted inside the sheller when the incident took place. The height of wall was around 12 feet.

The SHO said Ranjit and Karnail, who belonged to poor families, died on the spot and their bodies were sent for post-mortem.
