LUDHIANA: Travel woes of rail passengers continued as 13 long-route trains were cancelled by authority concerned due to inclement weather on Wednesday.

Travel woes of rail passengers continued as 13 long-route trains were cancelled by authority concerned due to inclement weather on Wednesday. Trains running behind their schedule further added to the misery of passengers.

It was a similar story for passengers of the lone Delhi-Ludhiana-Delhi Air India flight as it got delayed by nearly an hour and a half due to rough weather. Officials said flight 9837 arrived here at around 5 pm bringing with 52 passengers from Delhi (late by 1.35 hors) and the return flight 0938 took off at 5.35 pm with 50 passengers on board.

According to the Railways, 12241/42 Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh Intercity Express, 14673/74 Jaynagar-Amritsar-Jaynagar Shaheed Express, 15209/10 Saharsa-Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Express, 15707/08 Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar Amrapali Express, 12332 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Himgiri Express, 13307 Dhanbad-Ferozepur Ganga Sutlej Express, 14501 Bathinda-Jammu Tawi Express, 19611 Ajmer-Amritsar Express and 13050 Howrah-Amritsar Express trains were cancelled for the day.

The 12414 Jammu Tawi-Ajmer Pooja Express (1.50 hours) and 18101 Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Muri Express (1 hour) were rescheduled.
