The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Punjab unit president, Jasminder Sandhu, conveyed his best wishes to Muslim labourers working in various factories in and around the industrial city of Ludhiana today.

Sandhu shared that it was a grand occasion, not only for Muslims brothers, but also for those who were non-muslims. “India is a land of diversity. The specialty of this country is that it has people belonging to various sects and religions, but all are one as far as Indianess is concerned. We have different festivals, which not only a particular sect, but others too celebrate with equal fervor,” he added.

He said, “We extend our warm wishes to Muslim brothers and especially those, who are working in various factories and industries. I shall always stand by their side through all thick and thin. In case of need or as far as their genuine demands are concerned, I shall never be reluctant to fulfil them and treat them on priority basis.”

He asked Muslims workers to work in unity with the support of their Hindu and Sikh brethren for their own and for the country’s development and advancement.
