Three special trains to Vaishno Devi

LUDHIANA: Northern Railway will run three special trains for pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine during Navratras and to cope with higher inflow of travelers during other festivals.

Northern Railway will run three special trains for pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine during Navratras and to cope with higher inflow of travelers during other festivals. Two festival special trains to Mata Vaishno Devi at Katra will run from Delhi Jn and Anand Vihar Terminus while another from Varansai.

Vaishno Devi-Delhi Express special train (tri-weekly)

According to railway officials, 04409/10 Delhi-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Delhi Express Special train (tri-weekly) would make 32 trips in all from both directions. The 04409 festival special train would leave Delhi Jn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from October 16 to November 20 at 6.25 pm and reach Mata Vaishno Devi at 9.05 am the next day. In its return journey, the 04410 festival special train would depart from Mata Vaishno Devi every Wednesday, Saturday and Monday from October 17 to November 21 at 1.30 pm and reach Delhi Jn at 3 am the next day.

It would halt at Panipat, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur.

Anand Vihar (Delhi)-Mata Vaishno Devi (bi-weekly)

The 04401/02 Anand ViharTeminus (New Delhi)-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Anand Vihar Teminus AC Express Special train (bi-weekly) would make 20 trips in both directions. The 04401 special train would depart from Anand Vihar Terminus on every Monday and Thursday from October 15 to November 15, 2018 at 11 pm and reach Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 2 pm the next day. The 04410 special train would leave Mata Vaishno Devi every Tuesday and Friday from October 16 to November 16 at 11.30 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminus at 2.20 pm the next day.

The train would stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Yamunanagar Jagadhari, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur.

Varanasi-Mata Vaishno Devi (weekly)

Another festival special train 04611/12 Varanasi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Varansai Express train (weekly) would make 10 trips in both directions. The 04611 would leave Varanasi every Tuesday from October 23 to November 20 at 6 am and reach Mata Vaishno Devi at 1.15 pm the third day. On return journey, the 04612 train would leave Mata Vaishno Devi every Sunday from October 21 to November 18 at 11.30 pm and arrive Varanasi at 3.05 am the third day. The train, with AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper and general coaches, would have stoppages at Udhampur, Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Panipat, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow and Sultanpur stations.
